Learn how to turn off your TV with your Apple TV remote. The new Apple TV uses HDMI-CEC which allows the Apple TV remote to control the TV (power on/off, volume up/down). Your TV must support HDMI-CEC in order to use the ATV remote to power on/off your TV.
